Ancestry Brewing came in at the early stages of the craft beer movement, with a strong product and the ambition to stand out in a competitive market. My role was to build a clear and consistent brand presence, starting with a solid creative foundation and developing a full identity system with defined guidelines and a flexible toolkit that could extend across every touchpoint. The logo direction draws from the owner’s naval heritage, grounding the brand in a story that carries through the visual language and tone. The work went beyond a logo, shaping systems used across packaging, environment, and marketing. The result positioned Ancestry as a leader in its category, with the brewery earning industry recognition and multiple gold medal accolades, and building a foundation the team could carry forward with confidence.
